ABOUT US

HOBUCO is a musical duo that promotes interest in classical music by making it fun and easier to understand. We strive to make it more accessible and mainstream every day.

Our work:

    - Combines pieces of music with stories in Peter and the Wolf style

    - Explains interesting facts and historical context about musicians and composers

    - Promotes less familiar pieces for further exploration

MUSICAL FAIRYTALES began as a fun way to insert “serious” classical music into everyday lives. Inspired by creations of classical music for kids such as Disney’s Fantasia 2000, Peter and the Wolf, and Tom and Jerry films like “The Cat Concerto”, we use some of our favorite pieces to elevate the stories we tell.

Belinda Niling Stohner

Half rockstar, half rainbow cute. She's a professional violinist and in charge of snacks.

Belinda is the leader of BABY B STRINGS, a string quartet with an open and forward-thinking attitude about the role of string players in the art world. She can often be found playing Bach or The Beatles in a venue that has never hosted a classically trained musician. A veteran of the South Florida arts scene, she has worked alongside major artists, including Shakira at the Super Bowl LIV Halftime, Steve Miller (of Steve Miller Band), Maxwell, Mark O'Connor, and Black Violin. She is also responsible for many of Baby B Strings' original arrangements.
